Texas Health Resources is opening up a behavioral care facility to serve residents in northern Tarrant County.
The facility, which opens on March 26, will offer outpatient services for all ages with a special focus on the needs of adolescents. According to hospital system spokesman Andy Wilson, the center will offer free assessments, wellness classes, yoga, crisis management, treatment, and preventive services.
Experts will plan wellness programs and seminars dealing with everything from improving time management to understanding addiction and depression. Residents will also have access to sports therapy tailored to teens.
“Having access to high-quality behavioral services is a very important part of our commitment to help Alliance-area residents stay healthy in body, mind and spirit,” said Winjie Tang Miao, president of Texas Health Alliance, in a statement.
Texas Health Behavioral Health will operate the facility. Similar offerings from Texas Health are available at four hospitals and 11 outpatient centers throughout North Texas.
