Tenet’s senior vice president of clinical operations is the only North Texas physician executive named to Modern Healthcare’s 50 most influential list.
Dr. Kelvin Baggett, who is also Tenet’s chief clinical officer, was the only Texas employee to make the list. The magazine said it chose its selections based on how they are managing the “unprecedented change” underway in the healthcare industry.
Baggett oversees Tenet’s effort to improve clinical outcomes and manage the efficiency of those strategies. He directly reports to CEO Trevor Fetter. He is a fellow of the American College of Physicians and a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
He received his certification in internal medicine from the Yale University School of Medicine and logged dual fellowships at the Duke University School of Medicine and the John Hopkins University School of Medicine, where he was a Robert Wood Johnson Clinical Scholar.
