The Cancer Support Community North Texas has opened its first clubhouse in Plano, a renovated space in Texas Health Presbyterian Plano that offers outreach and counseling sessions to cancer patients and their families.
After its opening party on June 26, it will be the third such clubhouse in the 19 counties that CSCNT serves throughout the region. The organization has existed for more than 10 years and offers events, support groups, networking opportunities, private counseling, health and fitness classes, and other services.
The Plano location promises to bring Collin County residents healthy living seminars, guest speakers by oncology professionals, and cancer-specific groups from brain to breast.
“By adding new locations, we hope to make it easier for people to have access to our comprehensive program of support. As our reach continues to grow, so will our impact,” said CEO Mirchelle Louis in a statement.
The CSCNT has other clubhouses in Dallas and Tarrant counties. The Plano location is its first in Collin. The new location is at 6300 W. Parker Road MOB 2, Suite 129.
