Dallas-based EmCare has won a contract to supply a Buffalo, New York hospital company with physicians, billing services, and an on-site medical director.
The Buffalo News reports that TLC Health—a 300-employee hospital operator with one acute care hospital, one urgent care center, a primary care center, and two chemical dependency clinics in Western New York—filed for bankruptcy in December of 2013. Hiring Dallas’ EmCare is the latest reorganizational move for the company.
The newspaper says EmCare has said its services will help lower the costs incurred through the former vendor, Professional Emergency Services. EmCare, a subsidiary of Envision Healthcare, offers contract healthcare operational services to facilities throughout the country.
