HCA North Texas is now an affiliate member of the Catalyst Health Network, an accountable care organization for independent physicians in North Texas.
The Irving-based HCA branch brings its dozen hospitals 11 freestanding surgery centers, five freestanding ERs, and 31 urgent care centers into Catalyst’s network, which has grown to 175 providers throughout the region.
“Independent physicians are the backbone of our healthcare communities,” said Erol Akdamar, president, HCA North Texas Division. “HCA North Texas’ strong network of hospitals and care sites will enhance care for Catalyst’s patients and improve the overall health of the population.”
In a release, Catalyst President Dr. Christopher Crow said it would provide “significant synergy” with the existing affiliate Questcare, the private physicians group that staffs emergency departments for HCA North Texas.
“The addition of HCA provides a tremendous opportunity for Catalyst’s independent physicians to better coordinate care,” Crow said. “Building a collaborative relationship with HCA enables us to create a more dynamic healthcare platform for independent physicians and strengthens our care system.”
