Louisiana’s Largest Behavioral Health Provider Relocates HQ To Plano

The largest behavioral health provider for older adults and seniors in Louisiana has moved its headquarters from Lake Charles to Plano.

Oceans Healthcare, which operates 17 hospitals in Louisiana and Texas, has recently opened three behavioral facilities in Fort Worth, Katy, and Plano. In a statement, CEO Stuart Archer said the state’s aging population made Texas an attractive market for further growth.

“The Greater Dallas area has long benefitted from a rich and innovative healthcare industry,” Archer said. “We wanted to position our company at the epicenter of this activity to grow our base in the state and begin a new chapter for Oceans. We look forward to continuing to grow and provide our unique brand of care to those in need across our communities.”

Oceans’ network of hospitals stretches as west as Midland and extends to New Orleans. Eight of its 17 are located in Texas. The company’s first foray in North Texas a 45-bed hospital in Fort Worth. Each of the facilities employ between 120 and 150 people, from doctors to office workers.
