Medical City Frisco, Formerly Forest Park, Names New Chief Nursing Officer

HCA North Texas has appointed a new chief nursing officer of Medical City Frisco, the first major appointment for the Irving-based hospital provider after buying the bankrupt Forest Park Medical Center facility last month.

Sandi Gill was promoted from associate chief nursing officer at the Medical Center of Plano to the full role at the new hospital on Tuesday. She begins immediately. Medical City Frisco is a full service acute care hospital, but operates as a division of the larger Medical Center of Plano. Gill helped lead that hospital’s nursing operations as it opened a dedicated neuroscience unit and a dedicated burn unit. HCA says she “played a key role” in helping Medical Center of Plano become the city’s first Level 1 Stroke Center.

“Sandi has been a remarkable member of our senior leadership team,” read a statement from Charles Gressle, CEO of The Medical Center of Plano. “She has extensive knowledge in both clinical and business operations, a unique blend that has been vital to our success at The Medical Center of Plano.”

She received her bachelor of science in nursing from Ryerson University and later got a masters in health administration from the University of Phoenix.
