Stephanie Atkins-Guidry, who was the CEO and CNO of USMD Hospital in Fort Worth for 10 years, is the new CEO of Franklin Foundation Hospital in Franklin, Louisiana.
Atkins-Guidry led USMD, a for-profit venture facility with Texas Health Resources, USMD Holdings Inc., and local physicians. It has eight in-patient beds, an eight-bed step-down unit, six operating rooms, and an emergency center.
In her new role, Atkins-Guidry will oversee USMD’s 22-bed Critical Access Hospital and also maintain a seven-bed 24-hour emergency room, a four-bed ICU unit, and telemedicine practices.
Atkins-Guidry says she’s excited about the move from DFW to Franklin and her new plans for the hospital.
“We’re going to be focusing all of our energies on physician-community relations, to provide great care to those who live here,” Atkins-Guidry said in a statement.
