The former CFO of Dallas-based Tenet Healthcare Corp.’s northeast region, Steve Gilmore, has been named CFO of Rock Hill, South Carolina-based Piedmont Medical Center. He will replace Alice Rigdon in this new role.

Prior to Tenet, Gilmore served as CFO and vice president of finance at Saint Vincent Hospital in Massachussetts.

Gilmore has more than 30 years of hospital finance and administration experience. At Tenet, he led the operations, treasury duties, and economic financing of its northeast sector.

In his new role, Gilmore will be in charge of Piedmont’s 288-bed, full-service hospital operations and finances.

Gilmore started in healthcare as an accountant at Saint Vincent in 1984. He later became accounting manager, assistant controller, and controller before eventually becoming the hospital’s CFO in 2003.
