Dallas-based Tenet Healthcare Corp. has named Jeffery M. Welch as its new market CEO. In this newly created position, Welch will oversee hospitals in the northeast division for Tenet.
According to Tenet, Welch will manage three hospitals in the Massachusetts area: MetroWest Medical Center’s Leonard Morse Hospital in Natick, Mass.; MetroWest Medical Center’s Framingham Union Hospital in Framingham, Mass.; and St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester, Mass.
Welch previously served as CEO of Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center in Naples, Fla., a hospital affiliate of Tenet. There, he led initiatives to renovate and expand the hospital’s outpatient rehab center and install a new senior emergency room.
