Dallas-based U.S. Dermatology Partners, a dermatology-focused physician services and management organization—and the largest dermatology practice in Texas—has acquired North Texas Dermatology, an acute dermatology practice with locations in Plano and Richardson. The deal was closed recently for an undisclosed amount.
Based in Plano, NTD has a staff of four board-certified dermatologists and three physician assistants providing clinical, surgical, and cosmetic services. With the addition of NTD’s staff, USDP will have 27 dermatologists in its network working at 15 locations in Dallas-Fort Worth.
Geoff Wayne, CEO of USDP, says the partnership will improve the patient experience. “Joining together will … strengthen our market-leading position in [DFW],” Wayne said in a statement. “Our mission is to ensure improved access to the best dermatology care in our communities, and NTD bolsters our ability to do just so by adding such well-respected providers and convenient locations.”
