Dallas-based AccentCare Inc., a post-acute healthcare and specialized care management provider, has named Daniel Buning as its new executive vice president of operations. He will replace Steve Jakubcanin, who departed several months ago.
In his new role, Buning will be responsible for leading the organization’s enterprise-wide operations and shared services organizations. He will oversee AccentCare lines of business including home health, personal care services, hospice, medical home care, and health management services.
Buning most recently served as COO at Dallas-based AxelaCare Health Solutions, a UnitedHealth Group company. He previously served as enterprise vice president of client delivery for Frisco-based Conifer Health Solutions. Buning’s experience also includes stints at Accretive Health, Citigroup, and GE Capital.
AccentCare CEO Steve Rogers says the company is excited for the leadership and expertise Buning will bring.
“[Buning] brings extensive and valuable experience in the healthcare industry to support the continued growth of our company,” Rogers said in a statement.
Buning earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in operations engineering from West Point and the University of Central Florida.
