Irving-based Christus Health has named Justin Doss as its new market president of the Christus Spohn Health System. In this position, Doss will oversee Christus’ Corpus Christi network, which includes six hospitals, multiple family health centers, and medical and community outreach programs. He replaces Pamela Robertson.
Doss previously served as Christus’ Spohn COO, tending to hospitals in Corpus Christi, Alice, Beeville, and Kingsville.
In his new role, Doss will provide leadership for strategic operations in a 12-county region. He will also oversee Christus Health Spohn’s renovation project, which includes a new 10-story patient care tower, level II trauma center, and residency program.
Prior to joining Christus Health, Doss served as COO of Medical Center of Plano and Medical City Frisco, managing operations at the dual campuses while reportedly increasing patient satisfaction and physician engagement.
Dominic Dominguez, senior VP of Christus Health and CEO of its South Texas group, says Doss has done an outstanding job since starting a year ago, notably for “building important relationships and supervising the master facility project construction while maintaining quality care for patients. … We are grateful he has agreed to take on this role for Christus Spohn. He will be a wonderful asset for this community.”
Doss earned his bachelor’s degree in business from Texas A&M University and an MBA from the University of Texas at San Antonio.
