Parkland Health & Hospital System has named Richard Humphrey as its new executive vice president and chief financial officer. He replaces John Moore, effective August 21.
Humphrey most recently served as senior vice president of finance at Dallas-based Texas Health Resources. There, he was responsible for financial operations across the THR system including governmental reimbursement, financial planning, budgeting and decision support, joint venture partnership, behavioral health and more.
Prior to THR, Humphrey served as VP of Finance and CFO for Camden, S.C.-based Kershaw Health System. He oversaw the integrated health system’s financial operations including the hospital, regional referral medical center, nursing facility, home health/hospice agency, and urgent care and clinics.

Humphrey earned his bachelor’s degree at Carson Newman University in Jefferson City, Tenn., and an MBA from Golden Gate University in San Francisco.
