Dallas-based Baylor Scott & White Health has announced plans to open a physical therapy center in Austin. The new location is expected to open in Pflugerville in September.
The Baylor Scott & White Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation center will open near the system’s current Pflugerville medical center. According to Jay Fox, president of Baylor Scott & White Health’s Austin/Round Rock region, the system “felt this new location was a necessary addition to support this growing, active community.”
The 3,100-square-foot clinic will provide physcial therapy services focusing on individualized treatment plans and coordinated care with referring providers. Treatments include dry needling, vestibular rehab, and fusionetics.
Rob Watson, CMO for Baylor Scott & White Health’s Austin/Round Rock region, said in a statement: “Our focus on injury diagnosis, treatment, recovery, and prevention will help residents of Pflugerville get back to their active lifestyles quickly. The coordinated care available to our Pflugerville patients is an example of what we, as a system, provide to Texans throughout the state.”
