Dallas-based Platinum Dermatology Partners, a dermatology-focused physician services organization aimed at connecting physicians in Texas, has added another Dallas-Fort Worth practice to its network. Pediatric Dermatology of North Texas joined Platinum to expand its youth specialty services to a wider demographic.
According to Platinum, its business model is designed so that dermatologists in the network retain practice autonomy but have ownership augmented by its management support. Under this partnership, dermatologists at PDNT will collaborate with other Platinum partner practices through the organization’s clinical advisory board to “advance care and services and drive all clinical decisions, while remaining highly involved in business operations.”
PDNT, which is run by founder Dr. Fred Ghali, operates Grapevine and Frisco locations in North Texas. He and his team are reportedly one of the few clinics in the nation specializing in pediatric dermatology, working with pediatricians and sub-specialty physicians about skin care.
According to Platinum, adding PDNT to its network will represent an “essential” part of the dermatological care continuum in DFW. Platinum management will coordinate appropriate partnerships and align practices with other physicians to increase operational and clinical outcomes for dermatology and skin-related care in DFW.
Greg DeAtkine, CEO of Platinum, said in a statement: “Adding Ghali and his team at Pediatric Dermatology of North Texas to our emergent network of top-ranked dermatology practices opens new opportunities for growth in pediatric dermatology care within our network. Our development strategy remains focused on practice quality and reputation, partnering only with top-ranked dermatology groups to create the base upon which our organization will continue to build.”
