Medical City Fort Worth Names New CNO

Medical City Fort Worth has named Damita J. Williams as its new chief nursing officer. Williams replaces Lynn O’Neill, who was promoted to vice president and CNO at HCA Healthcare-owned St. David’s HealthCare in Austin.

As CNO, Williams will lead the nursing team at Medical City Fort Worth. She most recently served as CNO at the Methodist Hospital campus in San Antonio. There, she was in charge of the largest hospital in the HCA Healthcare system, Methodist Children’s Hospital. Additionally, she has served as an adjunct faculty member for Marion, Ind.-based Indiana Wesleyan University.

Williams earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing at Muncie, Ind.-based Ball State University, and a master’s degree in nursing administration at Fort Wayne, Ind.-based University of Saint Francis. She also earned her Ph.D. in organizational leadership at Indiana Wesleyan University.
