Texas Health To Build 83-bed Hospital in Mansfield

The first 59 beds are expected to be ready to go by 2020.

Texas Health Resources will build an 83-bed, 195,400-square-foot hospital in Mansfield, adding a second hospital to the booming Tarrant County suburb.

It will have an Emergency department, patient rooms, ICU, women’s services, a surgery center, cardiovascular care, and a pharmacy, according to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, which had the news on Tuesday afternoon.

The Startlegram says Texas Health’s plan is for a four-story hospital, with 59 beds to open by 2020 and the remaining 24—which will be on the third floor—to be finished at some point in the future. It’ll employ 300 people for starters, and Texas Health is planning to put up a medical office building next to the hospital, the paper says.

The hospital will be located east of U.S. Hwy 287 and south of Lone Star Road.
