The Red Cross has officially launched its Young Professionals Auxiliary (YPA) for volunteers ages 21-30 in Dallas.

The American Red Cross DFW’s Young Professionals Auxiliary aims to help the organization care for people and help prevent emergencies when possible in North Texas. Major influencers and mentors to the Young Professionals Auxiliary include both the American Red Cross North Texas Region’s Board and Tiffany Circle Society of Women Leaders members.

The philanthropic group will offer chances for members to volunteer throughout the year.

The YPA’s president for 2012 is Caroline Hurley, senior marketing coordinator for SRS Real Estate Partners. Board members include Skyler Baty, Jack Burgher, Tedi Clancy, Robert Derivaux, Austin Edrington, Blair Flowers, Meg Johnson, James Landed, Holt Martin, Katie McCann, Magen Moody, Adam Ruff, Caroline Snabes, Clayton Thomas, Mattson Uihlein, Zac Wilson, Graham Wise, and Lauren Zimmer.

The group had a well-attended kick-off function last night at Harwood International’s St. Ann’s Restaurant and Bar.

The Red Cross YPA kickoff event last night attracted a throng of young volunteers and mentors.
