The percentage of adults with employer-sponsored insurance stabilized in 2012 after three years of decline, according to a Gallup survey.
The survey found that less than half of adults received health insurance through their employer in 2012. The percentage had dropped from about 49 percent of U.S. adults in 2008 to about 45 percent in 2012. The biggest losses occurred among people earning less than $90,000 a year and among minorities. The insured rate changed little between 2011 and 2012 despite economic-recovery momentum.
