Two nonprofit hospital systems in North Texas are among the nation’s largest when considering their short-term, acute care hospitals.
Becker’s Hospital Review developed the list using data from the American Hospital Directory. Irving-based CHRISTUS Health ranked ninth, with 22, and Arlington’s Texas Health Resources is the 22nd largest, with 14 such locations.
St. Louis-based Ascension Health had the most in the country, with 73. The second most, Winter Park, Florida-based Adventist Health System trailed with 36.
