Arlington-based Texas Health Resources is No. 1 on Fortune and Great Place to Work’s list of “Best Workplaces in Health Care.” This is the third year in a row THR has received the No. 1 recognition.
Fortune and Great Place to Work partners to make the annual list of top companies through extensive surveys. They said organizations named on the list “see many benefits including higher productivity, less employee turnover, higher levels of customer satisfaction, and loyalty.”
Great Place to Work surveyed about 35,000 healthcare workers and compiled their responses to formulate this year’s rankings. Organizations with the highest remarks said “they feel like a cohesive unit no matter what their job [is] and can count on co-workers for support and cooperation.”
THR CEO Barclay Berdan believes THR’s No. 1 title is significant, especially because it’s based on employee opinions. “We have gone to great lengths to develop an unwavering commitment to listening to our employees and bettering ourselves as we go,” Berdan told D CEO Healthcare. “We know some of the best ideas for Texas Health come from the employees on the front lines, and that’s why we put such value in listening and making sure we hear those ideas.”
