Baylor Scott and White Health has opened a membership-based medical practice in the Park Cities. Named Baylor Scott and White Direct Care, members can access physicians and practice providers seven days a week for an annual fee of $200.
According to Baylor Scott & White, the goal of developing a direct care facility was to “provide quality care in more locations and flexibility to schedule physician appointments. The direct care model aims to bring patient care to the next level by offering same-day access to providers with the latest medical technology for extended hours.
Baylor Scott and White Direct Care is operated by the healthcare system’s affiliate, HealthTexas Provider Network, a multi-specialty medical group that employs more than 1,300 providers practicing in the North Texas area.
The HTPN will execute Baylor Scott and White’s new model of care. Updated features include extended hours, increased access (members are able to see specialists from HTPN and Baylor at discounted rates), online appointment scheduling, and more personalized care. Services offered at the clinic include primary care, pediatrics and family medicine, women’s health, school and work physicals, nutrition consultations, and on-site laboratory testing.
Baylor Scott and White Direct Care physician Dr. Ahmad Garrett-Price says personalized care will be a priority at the clinic. “We want to assist our patients in creating their own care plan,” Garrett-Price said.
