Medical City Healthcare Launches Nurse Hotline

Medical City Healthcare has launched a new program to increase patient access to medical care providers. The “Ask a Nurse” service will connect patients to registered nurses who can answer health-related questions, connect with the appropriate doctors for symptoms, and discuss accepted or unaccepted insurance plans.

According to Medical City Healthcare, the service is open to returning patients, new patients, or members of the general public for full-spectrum care. The “Ask a Nurse” service is currently available in Collin, Dallas, Denton, and Tarrant County. While the nurses online will not diagnose medical conditions, they offer immediate consultation and support to redirect patients to the correct physicians or specialists.

Additionally, the 24/7 hotline offers referrals to local primary care physicians and specialists in Dallas-Fort Worth and registration for health-related classes and events sponsored by Medical City Healthcare.

Zach Mueller, chief nursing executive at Medical City Healthcare, said in a statement: “Getting the right medical information when you need it is vital. Our skilled nurses can provide expert health information day or night, no matter what time patients may have a healthcare question.”
