The Dallas-Fort Worth Hospital Council has added Medical City North Hills leader Xavier Villarreal to its board of trustees. He is the latest addition to the board, following Dr. Will Daniel from UT Southwestern and Dr. Esmaeil Porsa from Parkland Health & Hospital System.
Villarreal currently serves as CEO of Medical City North Hills. He possesses almost 20 years of healthcare leadership experience. His previous roles include vice president of Christus Spohn Shoreline and chief operating officer for Christus Memorial Hospitals in Corpus Christi. Additionally, he served as CEO at Corsicana-based Navarro Regional Hospital and COO of Abilene Regional Medical Center.
According to DFWHC, the board of trustees aims to “unite industry leaders to advance quality healthcare in the region.” Villarreal will join 15 other hospital executives on the board.
W. Steve Love, president and CEO of DFWHC, said in a statement: “We are delighted to welcome three such distinguished executives to the DFWHC board of trustees [Villarreal, Daniel, and Porsa]. We are looking forward to working with them as we continue our commitment to the triple aim of better health, better care, and better value for the patients we serve.”
