Medical City McKinney has named Christie Gutierrez its new vice president of quality. She replaces John Summers, who was promoted to assistant chief nursing officer.
Gutierrez most recently served as the director of quality and infection prevention at Medical City Plano. In this role, she was responsible for coordinating the hospital’s infection control program, establishing policies, and implementing effective procedures and standards of care. She has been a nurse for 13 years.
Cassidi Roberts, chief nursing officer at Medical City McKinney, said in a statement: “Christie brings a wealth of experience to Medical City McKinney. She has been recognized as an innovator and leader in quality throughout the Medical City Healthcare division, and we are excited to have her join our team.”
Gutierrez earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing from UT Arlington.
