Dallas-based Parkland Health & Hospital System named Gerry D. Baker its senior vice president of revenue cycle management. Baker, who succeeds Rhonda Miller, began in the new position on Nov. 6.
An expert in revenue cycle management, Baker has experience in Medicare and Medicaid billing and compliance, implementing healthcare-technology solutions across the revenue cycle, and implementing workflow and process improvements.
He served as president and principal consultant for McGraw Baker Consulting from 2006 to 2017, most recently directing revenue cycle operations for a county health system in California comprised of facilities including a Level 1 trauma center, two acute-care community hospitals, and an acute-care psychiatric hospital. He’s also held senior manager and manager roles at First Consulting Group and Ernst & Young, respectively, focusing exclusively on bringing value to healthcare organizations.
A member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association, Baker has a B.S. in business administration and an M.B.A. from the University of Texas at Dallas.
