Inside Medical City Frisco’s New Women’s Services Facility

Women and babies will be able to receive care at Medical City Frisco later this month when the $21.6 million women’s services facility opens. It will include 13 delivery and recovery rooms, a six-bed, Level II neonatal intensive care unit, three operating rooms, and a 10-bed nursery.

Area women can tour the new facility at an event on Thursday, Oct. 11, from 5-7:30 p.m., where they can meet OB-GYN physicians and learn about breastfeeding support, childbirth, and free infant CPR classes.

The opening of the women’s unit is part of a $1.7 billion investment across the Medical City’s network of healthcare facilities over the last four years. Medical City Frisco is a 54-bed campus of Medical City Plano, and opened in 2016.
