Texas Health Resources annual Community Responsibility and Sustainability Report highlighted its ability to improve convenience for patients, provide a quality workplace for employees, and generously contribute to the community.
This year saw the launch of TexasHealthFamilyCare.com, a tool that makes it easier for consumers to research primary care doctors, schedule appointments, and access health information online. The organization also helped the city of Fort-Worth become a certified Blue Zones community, and began providing mobile urgent care services through DispatchHealth.
The report’s updated statistics show that Texas Health currently has more than 25,000 employees, an operating revenue of $4.8 billion, more than 1.8 million patients served annually, 6,200 physicians with active staff privileges, and 1.6 million physician office visits.
Key accomplishments from the report include the launch of Texas Health Community Impact to help address social determinants of healthy, improve health outcomes for the surrounding communities, and to reduce health disparities. Additionally, the organization provided nearly $886 million in charity care and awarded $2 million in charitable contributions and sponsorships to various nonprofits.
Texas Health Resources was named the No. 1 Best Companies to Work for in Health Care and Biopharma by Great Place to Work and Fortune magazine. They also earned Platinum recognition from the National Business Group on Health for being a “Best Employer for Healthy Lifestyles.”
