Jessica Arguijo has been named vice president of cardiovascular services at Medical City Dallas. Arguijo has 18 years of experience in healthcare, most recently as the vice president of operations for Covenant Health System in Lubbock. During her time at Covenant, Arguijo led the Cardiovascular, Orthopedic, and Neuro service lines. Her career also includes executive leadership roles at Pediatrix Medical Group of Richardson, and U.S. Oncology in Richardson.
Ted Shaw, Interim Chief Financial Officer, will replace John Dragovits as Parkland’s chief operating officer. Previously, Shaw has served as CFO and CEO at both public and private healthcare organizations.
Jeremy Howell has been promoted to vice president of research at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children. He joined TSRHC in 1998 as assistant director of volunteer services. His new responsibilities will include overseeing research, staff wellness, guest services, and the T. Boone Pickens Training and Conference Center.
M. Scott Perryman has been promoted to senior vice president of revenue cycle at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children. Perryman joined the hospital staff as vice president in 2011. Prior to that he was senior vice president of hospital finance at Community Hospital Corp.
Debbie Sayles was promoted to vice president at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children. She joined TSRHC as Director of Inpatient Services in 1994. Her new responsibilities include overseeing nursing in Inpatient Services, Ambulatory Care, and Surgery, as well as overseeing performance improvement, infection prevention, therapy services, and the pharmacy.
Mark G. Bateman has been promoted to senior vice president of public relations at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children. He joined TSRHC as vice president of Public Relations in 2010. Prior to that, Bateman served as chief executive officer of the Dallas office of Publicis.
Lori L. Dalton has been promoted to senior vice president and general counsel at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children. Dalton joined the hospital staff in 2007 as vice president and general counsel. She previously was senior partner at Thompson & Knight LLP.
Vagar Dar, M.D. has been named medical director at The Legacy at Willow Bend retirement community. Dar currently serves as a hospitalist for Texas Health Physicians Group. Previously, he served as a hospitalist for MedicalEdge Healthcare Group.
Daniel Waldmann has been has been promoted to senior vice president of public affairs at Tenet Healthcare. He previously served as vice president of government relations. In his new role, Waldmann will oversee Tenet’s public affairs, government relations, and communications functions, reporting to Trevor Fetter, the company’s president and CEO.
Dr. Joan Bergstrom has been named president of the medical staff at Texas Health Arlington Memorial Hospital, a role she’ll hold through May 2014. As president, she will chair the medical staff executive committee and serve as a liaison between hospital administration and the Board of Trustees. Bergstorm, who joined the medical staff 26 years ago, specializes in obstetrics and gynecology.
