Medical City McKinney has named Dr. Steve Kaster as its new chief medical officer. He replaces Dr. Scott Donaldson, who recently retired.
As CMO, Kaster will help advise the hospital’s leading medical experts. Prior to joining Medical City McKinney, Kaster was a physician partner with Digestive Health Specialists in Kansas City, Mo. He was also a board member of Physician Specialists of Kansas City, a large partnership of independent physicians.
Ernest Lynch, CEO of Medical City McKinney, says the administrative team is excited to add Kaster to its group. “He is a physician that other doctors can look to for quality outcomes and clinical expertise,” Lynch said in a statement.
Kaster earned his bachelors degree in chemistry and political science from Texas Christian University and a masters degree in business administration from Northwestern University. Kaster received his doctorate of medicine from the University of Kansas.
