Medical City McKinney’s $55 Million Expansion

Medical City McKinney will add a $55 million expansion that includes new patient building and an expanded emergency department. The project will include a two-story facility that may be expanded, 11 private emergency treatment rooms that include two new trauma rooms, 36 private inpatient rooms, and expanded imaging services. The expansion will be built concurrently with the $52 million behavioral health and rehabilitation pavilion that is currently underway. Medical City McKinney’s New Chief Operating Officer

Medical City McKinney has another C-suite leadership addition, as Andrew Zenger is stepping into the role of Chief Operating Officer starting in February. The move follows Chief Medical Officer Dr. Jaya Kumar’s hiring earlier this month. Zenger has been the assistant administrator at Medical City Arlington this year, where he oversaw clinical and support departments. He was also the interim director of the physician and provider relations team. A New Chief Medical Officer for Medical City McKinney

Dr. Jaya Kumar has been named Chief Medical Officer of Medical City McKinney, and will be starting in February according to a release. Medical City Begins $52M Construction Project at McKinney Campus

Medical City McKinney is adding beds and bolstering services with a $52 million expansion project aimed at adding behavioral health capacity at its main campus in McKinney.  The hospital broke ground this week. A new rehab and behavioral health pavilion will include: 20 inpatient rehab rooms; 80 adult and geriatric behavioral health patient rooms; an outpatient behavioral health program; an outdoor healing garden; and design elements to include a focus on natural lighting, as well as an open floor plan in common areas.
